How to Help the Emotionally Injured After a Tragedy Strikes

Learn a set of life skills used by lay people and emergency responders to provide the support a person who is emotionally shocked needs immediately following a crisis event.

While these skills are meant to support people in the immediate moments after a tragedy, they work to support people who are having hard times. These skills will help you be a better listener to those you care about. A broken heart cannot be fixed. Learn to show up when the people in your life are hurting in a way that shows you really care.

The Instructors

  • Emotional First Aid training is taught by trainers who are nationally-certified by the Trauma Intervention Program and are employees of TIP . Trainers have over 10 years experience in crisis response and have taught many training academies as well as E-TIP training courses. This EFA trainer leads the TIP team and works as a liaison between all the first responder agencies here in Ada County, Nampa, and Valley County and the TIP responders.

  • Classes are available to the general public.

  • Class cost is $45 paid with PayPal via our website or by US Mail before class starts.

  • Classes are 4 hours, 9:00am to 1:00 pm.
